Lovely little fawn!
I work as a docent (volunteer teacher, tour guide) at the Los Angeles Zoo and from time to time run across interesting and sometimes amazing animal stories and photos. This is one of my favorites!
This charming photo shows a beautiful example of camophlage in nature. Mother left her spotted fawn on the steps of a family home. Fallen blossoms from a nearby tree match the baby’s spots perfectly. The baby would stay more or less motionless until mother returns.
