HOW SAD!
How sad! Just heard that Christopher Reeve died! I will always remember his campy but fun portrayal of Superman. In fact I came to believe he was Superman! I guess we also don’t realize how fragile and tentative the health of paralysed people can be. He was also a strong advocate for stem cell research. I hope more high profile people fill the void for advocacy. How sad for his family.

Indeed. The news hit me surprisingly hard, actually. It’s not just that he portrayed Superman in one of my favorite childhood movies, but the ubelievable levels of courage he displayed after his accident. Many in his position would simply give up, but he kept struggling through right up until his death.
