JOHHNY CARSON!
I was so sad to learn this morning of the death of Johnny Carson! I think he was probably my favorite entertainer of all time. His ability to relate to the audience was an incredible gift. You really believed that you could walk up to him and have a conversation. He seemed like your perfect next door neighbor. Of course, all of this involved great skill but it seemed to be a natural gift. None of the other talk show hosts ever came really close to him with the possible exception of Ellen DeGerneres who has the same “I am just like you” folksy approach to interviewing and monologues.
