ODE TO FEATHERS!
Feathers are remarkable! Here are two photos of an eagle incubating her egg/s in a snowstorm. It looks very unfomfortable to us. Bird’s underfeathers are down and extremely warm (remember that expensive down comforter you bought). Their outer feathers are waterproof. They also have a bare patch on their belies which they lower over the eggs for even more warmth. The second photo shows her a few minutes later after she shook off the snow. She also knows exactly how warm to keep the eggs. So if the sun should come out she might raise herself up a bit in order not to cook the eggs! Remarkable!
