OPERATION GRATITUDE!
What a fantastic organization! Operation Gratitude! It even sounds terrific! For the past several weeks I have been volunteering with this organization to help send care packages to our troops overseas to help make their days just a tad more pleasant. The boxes are stuffed with donated goods that include disposable cameras, packages of beef jerkey, nuts, sunscreen, dry soups, CD’s, DVD’s, t-shirts, beanie babies, gum, lip balm and tons of other stuff. When the service person opens the box they will find letters of encouragement written by school children and adults, handwritten and printed. I have never worked with so many volunteers that worked so hard, so fast and so cooperatively to get these boxes ready to ship overseas.
