LOS ANGELES FIRES AND ONE TWIT!
The fire season has begun once again in the Los Angeles area - this time centering in the Simi Valley and San Fernando Valley area. We go through this every year somewhere in this area. Los Angeles is essentially a semi desert and heavy winter rains plus high summer temps make the brush very volatile. Some three thousand fire fighters are battling a now 17,000 acre fire with high winds.
But somehow there is always what I call the “twit quotient”! A woman was being interviewed on tv with flames in the background (not to mention the 3000 fire fighters risking their lives yesterday and all night) made the comment, “Yeah, I’m kinda bummed - my housekeeper was due to come today.” I give up - I just give up…
