Now that you have a fabulous collection of teddy bears (or maybe one or two) what are you going to do with them? HAVE FUN! Creative displays are entertaining for your family and guests. It does not have to be complicated. Perhaps you can arrange a display at your front entry way or on a shelf in the family room. Or, just go all out and creates displays all over the house.

Holidays are the obvious place to begin. The photo of Candy Bear with her Christmas lights is one of my favorites. I have used this as a centerpiece for a holiday table or on a side table. Instead of the Hanukkah display I show perhaps several bears could be positioned to "light" their own Menorah. Clear fishing line works great to attach items to the bears paws.

In my kitchen I have a small antique style oven with its own pots and pans. A bear wearing an apron is stirring a pot with her baby sitting nearby. An Easter display might include plastic eggs, one or two bowls for coloring, and a package of food colors. A great Halloween display would include a bear, a small pumpkin and a little book entitled "How to carve a pumpkin". Another frequently used display uses a table and two chairs, a tea set, your best dressed lady bears, and a child sized tea set. In your guest bathroom try a "naked" bear in a small metal dishpan taking a bath. Fluffy cotton arranged around her for bubble bath, a small rubber ducky, her bunny slippers on the floor and a small towel thrown over a little chair will bring a lot of compliments! Do you have a lovely collection of tea cups and saucers in your china cabinet - why not put a very small bear in one of the cups looking over the top?

I hope these suggestions give you even more ideas of your own. Stores that carry party decorations have great inexpensive items with holiday themes. But I'll bet you have many items around the house that will work perfectly.

Have a great time and write me with new ideas I can pass on.
